Thank you for commenting! I have been lucky enough to see him speak twice, and I always walk away inspired. I had a great weekend, and the day is creeping away from me. I think I'll watch it again. (Shout out to Florida! I used to live in Orlando.)

You've gotta love Alan.
I have a bad case of the "Sunday Nights" after a splendid weekend away in Ocala and Gainesville. So after catching up on email, my calendar, graduation invitations, I just googled 'Sunday Night and teachers' and there's my old pal Alan. In working with Alan in the 80s, I learned that whatever you do for students, dive in and do it with gusto. His attitude and energy are contagious.
Thanks for sharing!

What a great idea. My middle schoolers would benefit from such a thing, maybe not posted to the public. My 6th graders enjoy that one on one, quick check in for a hug or encouraging comment.

Good question. I would imagine it might be the same as the young ones. Your bound to have some that either constantly forget or think it doesn't apply to them. The trick is to stand your ground. If a student walks up to my conference table and I'm with a student, I say, "Do you have one of the three B's?" If no, they usually will walk away (and try again in 3 minutes, LOL!) Give it a shot and let me know how it goes.

This brought me to tears, literally. I am working on a book and have wrote things that I dont know if it is right or wrong. I go with it and this just gives me so much inspiration in my own work. aho.

Well, due to a timing snafu with lunch, there was only a handful of people at my presentation. But, it turned out to be a really nice time, because I could engage with everyone in the room and guide them to their individual preferences for using Twitter. The discussion was great and it was nice to connect with everyone there.
